So we previously mentioned how UK internet surfers lacked the ability to use Google Street View enabled maps. Well no more! Today Google turned on the service which has allowed users a virtual tour around norwich.
Whilst you would think people would be quick to embrace this incredibly clever and useful tool, the response worldwide has been mixed..

The Department for Children, Schools and Families has given Norfolk County Council £310,000 to purchase laptops for more than 400 children.
The money from the government's Home Access ICT scheme will be used to target groups of young people who live in deprived areas, who are persistent absentees, traveller children, those in alternative education and those with English as a second language.

Users of Google Maps will be all too familiar with being able to plan a journey, find the nearest florist, or just spy on next door with the satellite function.
For several years, users in the United States have been able to take a "virtual walk" up and down the road with the google street view function (click here for an example). With the spotting of a google 360 degree camera car in Norwich, it looks like an armchair stroll down Prince of Wales isn't too far away!
